Bristol Brunel Academy celebrates GCSE success

Bristol Brunel Academy is absolutely delighted to celebrate the GCSE achievements of its Year 11 students today.

These outcomes mark the culmination of five years of dedication and hard work.

As a staff body, the Bristol Brunel team is incredibly proud of what students have accomplished.

Their success is a testament to the commitment of staff, the resilience and determination of students, and the invaluable support from their families.

Together, we have worked incredibly hard to ensure that every student had the opportunity to thrive, and today’s results reflect that collective effort.

Bristol Brunel Principal Jen Cusack said “This is such a big day for our students and families, I am so proud of what they have achieved.

“These results highlight both individual commitment and the collective support provided by staff.

“It has been a real privilege to see our students open their results today with a mix of nerves, excitement and anticipation. Today they start a new journey and I wish all of our students the very best of luck in their next stage.

“Congratulations to all our Year 11 students.”

The school offered congratulations to the following students who have achieved exceptional results today;

Davine Jatto – All 9s and one grade 8

Anna Osborne – All 9s

Arham Uddin – All 9s and two grade 8s

Special mention too to Jaye Cook – Jaye has achieved an outstanding set of results, with eight grades at Grade 5 or higher. Despite unavoidable absences from school, Jaye’s determination and commitment have enabled him to secure the results needed to successfully progress to his Post-16 destination. Jaye’s personal and academic success is a testament to his resilience and serves as an inspiration to others.

Also a special mention to Olivia Lug, Liv Brownett, Fletcher Marley and Connor Lloyd who have taken advantage of every opportunity given to them to ensure a solid set of results.

The Bristol Brunel students were among nearly 2,000 young people across the Cabot Learning Federation (CLF) who received their results today – with many celebrating outstanding results and getting set for the next stage of their education.

CLF Deputy CEO Sally Apps said: “As a trust we would like to extend our congratulations to the 1,994 students who are receiving their GCSE and equivalent qualifications today.

“These are the result of considerable effort, diligence and determination and the results celebrated today are opening the door to a range of excellent onward destinations for our young people who have studied at our mainstream and specialist schools.

“It is with considerable gratitude to our staff and parents that we celebrate, knowing that these outcomes are achieved as a result of a considerable team effort.

“It is particularly pleasing to see that this year, more young people who have experienced challenge and disadvantage during their school career are collecting strong results.

“We are proud of them and delighted for them, and wish all CLF Year 11 students – now part of our valued alumni and in many cases continuing their onward study with us – a happy and successful educational career.”
