Dear Parents and Carers

I am writing to confirm our plans for the last day of this term and our return in September. I wanted to thank you for your continued support in ensuring your child is successful here at BBA. It has been a busy year, as you will see in our termly newsletters, with much to celebrate and be proud of what our students have achieved.

End of Year Plans:
Last day of term – Friday 21st July – early finish for all
Students will have their normal lessons periods 1 and 2 and will then spend periods 3 and 4 with their Tutor and have their end of year assembly, where we celebrate their success and achievements.

12:10pm – Year 7 to leave via the main entrance.
12:10pm – Year 8 to leave via the Duncombe Lane entrance.
12:15pm – Year 9 to leave via Duncombe Lane entrance.
12.15pm – Year 10 to leave via the main entrance.

Those entitled to Free School Meals will be able to collect food at break time from any of the food serveries.

Prior to the end of year please remind your child of the following:

  • Students to check lost property, for any items they may be missing. We have large amount of lost property that we will display in the reception area from next week. Any remaining lost property will be taken to charity.
  • Students to clear out their lockers for cleaning during the holidays, any items left in lockers will be removed and placed in black bags behind reception and if not claimed taken to charity.
  • Bike locks to be removed from the bike sheds.

Uniform
At Bristol Brunel we now offer a uniform swap service, if you would like to donate any used, good condition, uniform please could you bring it in to reception on Thursday 20th July at 3:15pm.

As we enter the new academic year, please can you ensure your child is wearing the correct uniform, a reminder of uniform requirements can be found on the website: https://bristolbrunelacademy.clf.uk/our-academy/uniform/

If you are struggling to purchase uniform, please speak to your Year Team.
Support during the Holidays
Free School Meals – if your child is entitled to Free School Meals, you will receive a voucher, to cover the holiday period, during the last week of term.

Start of Year 2023/22 plans:

  • Friday 1st September – Staff INSET day – No students on site.
  • Monday 4th September – Staff INSET day – No students on site.
  • Tuesday 5th September (8:20am) – Year 7 Only.
  • Wednesday 6th September (8:20am) – All Year Groups.
